MEET SARAH DONALDSON

After a long hiatus from making a living from performing professionally, Sarah Donaldson is looking to come out from behind the desk where she finds happiness in the world of Entertainment Business to also return to the spotlight once again.  While still pursuing her dream to also help others succeed in the industry, her goal in life is to make everyone's life a little more entertaining both behind the scenes and stealing the show when she has a chance!

In 2006, The Catholic University of America featured her as the fifth and youngest alumni to be honored in their new monthly feature, “Alumni Spotlight.”  As a Musical Theatre major earning a Bachelor of Music degree, Sarah attended CUA on both academic and music scholarships, was a member of the honors program, studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.  Additionally, she was already performing on professional stages by her junior year when she played Ursula in "Bye, Bye Birdie" at the Olney Theatre in Maryland and joined the Equity Membership Candidate program of the Actors' Equity Association.

After college, the Philadelphia girl returned home to play the Maid of Honor in "Tony N' Tina's Wedding," interned at South Jersey's NBC40 in news reporting, and commuted to NYC for auditions. It wasn't long before she landed a dream role as Jan, one of the Pink Ladies, in the 2003-2004 North American Broadway Tour of "Grease" performing alongside other Philly natives, Frankie Avalon and Chubby Checker. Over one hundred cities later, Ms. Donaldson decided to stay put in Williamsburg, Virginia for the 2005 season at Busch Gardens Europe singing "Mambo Italiano" and performing other classic Italian songs and dances in "Holiday in Roma." In early 2006, she returned back to Philadelphia and worked steadily in various films and TV shows locally and in NYC to become a member of SAG, the Screen Actors Guild. Some of her favorite credits include being a stand-in for Rocky's girlfriend in "Rocky Balboa," an Eagles' wife in "Invincible," and a featured dancer in "Step Up."  Most notably, though, she can be seen as a lead dancer in Cascada's "Everytime We Touch" music video as the song spent weeks at the top of the charts into the Spring of '06 and has been viewed over 28 million times.

Thru 2006 and 2007, Donaldson left the spotlight to gain experience behind the scenes in Atlantic City as an Entertainment Coordinator for Harrah's, Caesars, Bally's, and Showboat including House of Blues. There, she worked on headlining acts like Jay Leno, Rachel Ray, Tony Bennett, Sheryl Crow, and Carrie Underwood.

Having relocated from the East Coast to Los Angeles at the start of 2008, she worked as an Executive Assistant at high profile talent agencies like ICM and MPI, Universal Music Group, Azoffmusic Management, and 51 Minds.  Most notably, she's worked for the Senior Music and TV agents for Aretha, Ringo, and Vanessa Williams, to name a few of the many.

In 2009, Sarah Donaldson surpassed thousands to make it into the top 25 on the reality competition show for actors, "Hellbent For Hollywood."  Additionally, she joined AFTRA and worked for a year as a regular office worker for "Mad Style," the fashion company on "True Jackson, VP."

During 2010, she worked an assistant at TalentWorks, continuing to learn about what it takes to become an agent while working for both established and emerging talent.  In her spare time, she started performing at The World Famous Comedy Store on Sunset Boulevard remembering that if she isn't making people laugh and smile that she hasn't lived her life to the fullest.  Her fun personality and social networking skills also brought her Facebook page to a maxxed out status with over a 1,000 pending friend requests, showing that she must have something special and contagious that you should try to catch... if you can!

Through 2011 and into 2012, Sarah continues to be eager to take her talents both in front of the spotlight and behind it to the next level and looks forward to hearing from entertainment industry representatives who would like to work with her.

She has proven that with a strong and solid foundation in the arts nurtured throughout her life and career, it seems that there are no limits to where her roots are capable of reaching....
